Hello everyone,
I am very sorry about the lack of loft reports including tossing details and the benzing live.
We now have all the benzing details worked including Live.
If anyone does not have the details to log into Live please send us an email and we will send all details.
Since the Galah race we have lost app 20 birds from the 18 tosses the birds have been on.
The prize money for the young bird race will remain at 10k, but the other prizes will depend on how many spares have been sold, we are down over 200 birds being entered because of the ROTA virus.
The prize pool for the 2 yr old race will be determined by the number of birds paid for and how many spares are taken up.
I do not take any money out for feed or transport etc so all money received goes into pool. We have changed the rules in regard to birds not being paid by the due date being 13th September.
Unless you have made arrangements with me to pay on the day of the race all birds that have not been paid for the owner looses all rights to the birds and any money that may have been won, no exemptions .
I do not want the same fiasco to happen that did last year.
The 10k birds will be released from Nettallie Hill, Wellington side of Willcannia on Sunday morning by two members of the Broken Hill club.
I will be releasing the 2 year olds from Walgett in NSW a distance of app 620 miles on Saturday morning with arrivals expected from 10 am Sunday..
If you are coming and have not informed us by now please let us know asap by phone or email for catering purposes.
Soft drinks ,tea and coffee will be the only beverage supplied that is bring your own grog.
We will have pools operating on the 17th with all details including bank details by next Wednesday.
All the best in the races regards
Lyndon Frick

Hello all, the birds are well and truly over the virus now flying for around one and a half hours every day.
As of today they have started ranging along the river as the birds have done both years in the past.
We have lost a few birds around the lofts to the falcons but it has not been all one sided if you get the drift, none lost in the last two weeks.
Because of the late start caused by the lock down I won't start tossing for another 2 weeks with the first of three races being held on the 6th August and the two final races including the 2 year old race on the 10th of September.
The location of the first race will be decided shortly and put on the web site.
All birds lost due to the virus or lost around the loft or in the first few tosses will be replaced with spares unless told otherwise.
If there is anyone out there that would like to get involved in this years event and help raise some much needed funds for the KIDS WITH CANCER FOUNDATION
there are spares available up to the 20th July when all spares will be allocated.
Remember all monies raised goes to the Kids With Cancer foundation .
Any one that I have not contacted about bird losses from the virus I will be contacting you shortly.
Regards Fricky.

Hello all, it seems as though the Rota virus has run its course.
8 weeks after the last death I introduced some birds into the lofts from an area free of the virus as test birds, within 8 days we had lost approximately 30% .
Approximately 4 weeks later I introduced some more birds from an outside area again, 4 weeks ago and until the present time we have not had a fatality .
Two weeks ago I sent birds to Colin Walker that he forwarded to Agribio for testing for the virus and the results came back negative.
Now that we have got the clearance the Kids with Cancer races will be going ahead.
We will have a later start possibly middle of July .
As I have had a complete lock down of all the lofts so as not to infect any local flyers pigeons it is going to take a while to break the birds in, so far so good only loosing a few birds which might still come home.
The owners of the birds lost from the virus will be notified asap.
As we had to stop taking birds we are down on numbers, so with the present numbers it is going to be a bit hard to be able to pay all the prize monies.
We have approximately 100 birds in the loft from ourselves and a couple of other flyers available for purchase at $100 dollars each to fly in the races.
The rules will apply the same as last year in regards to spares that all money won will go to the flyer and the birds remains the property of the breeder.
Last year a spare won the Piangil race and placings in a couple of other races.
The races will more than likely be on the N E line the same direction as the 10k race last year.
The direction depends on whether the Western Pigeon Federation still flies this season as we don't want any Vic birds that could be carriers to come in this area and infect lofts in the Murray Bridge Tailem Bend area.
Anyway if anyone not having birds in this years Kids with Cancer races wishing to purchase a bird or two please contact myself by phone or email .
Every flyer that is in this years event will get priority for the 2018 Kids with Cancer One Loft Race.
Please remember we are all raising money for a very good cause so make sure you are on board..
Before the next intake of birds for 2018 we will be building a larger holding loft for the new intakes with a complete mesh floor hoping this will reduce this possibility of any disease passing to a large number of birds .
Hopefully there will not be any outbreak of any new disease for the next season.
All the best
Fricky
