Hello again I am sorry it has been so long since the last report I am having a lot of trouble with my back as it looks like Max is going to have a longer holiday than first expected I have been trying to do the heavier work myself and as I have already had two back operations, I am really feeling it .
We have decided this year 2021 will be the last year that we run the KWC foundation one loft race.
The auction of the first 4 birds from the spares run had to be cancelled due to not being able to get a spot on Tim's auction site and a flyer from Canberra offered to buy the birds which we received 1250 dollars for them . we donated nearly three thousand five hundred dollars to the KWC foundation being made up from the sale of birds and two of the prize winners donated their winnings , a big thank you to you both for your generosity it makes it worthwhile doing this pigeon race .
Since the first year we have donated to the KWC foundation nearly twenty thousand dollars a big thank you to all that have helped to achieve this.
I will be in Melbourne this weekend the sixth and seventh of February and will be staying with Carol and Lou Gatt my home away from home and will be coming back on Monday calling into Baccus Marsh, Ballarat and Horsham on the way home .
If anyone has birds to send back, please ring me on 0408822538 to arrange pickup thank you or can be delivered to Caroll and Lou's address.
We have received quite a few birds from QLD NSW and VIC with a few from SA
Birds will be accepted up to 10th of March .
There has been a lot of interest shown in the Spares race for this season so its a good chance that it will be on again this year.
Now that the Covid Virus looks like it might be stopped we will be going back on the NE line with Nattalie Hill being the 10k race point again.
Dates for the three races will be published once training starts .
Finally, I would like to thank all the flyers that have stuck with us since starting the KWC one loft race and without you we could not have helped the Foundation
Regards and all the best for the future season Niki and Fricky

Hello to everyone , I hope all the fanciers that did manage to race this season had a successful season to those few that did not there is always next year .
I hope everyone enjoys a good breeding season as Niki and I are having , not
personally of course I think we are past that.
I have as most of you would know I have finally found someone to do all the computer work etc for us thank you Emma .
Niki and I are not up to doing the computer work except for the basics plus I am fed up with chasing money, Emma will not be as soft as me.
The race will still be at our property at Wellington East with me still doing all the tossing etc of the birds .I still work out of season which keeps me pretty busy .
The races will be going back on the east line unless COVID 19 rears it bloody head again.
We are accepting birds on property as from know by appointment same applies to interstate birds , dates for pick ups from Adelaide will be posted shortly .
I will be going to Melbourne around the long weekend in January as usual
All the best for the breeding season.
Rings are available from us for the 2021 10k race.
Regards Niki and Fricky

Update From Lyndon Frick.
Hello all
At present I am confined to the Stamford Plaza hotel in Adelaide I thought I would let everyone I know what mess the SA Health
in Adelaide has got South Australians into.
As I drive interstate I have an E T number that allows me to go interstate truck driving for employment so it was not a problem flying to Sydney to pick up a semi that had a lot of T V cameras etc that was used to televise the Bathurst car race on Sunday that no doubt some of you would have watched , the equipment in the trailers had to be taken to Melbourne ready to cover the Melbourne Cup.
Because I flew back to Adelaide instead of driving, my E T number was not used for the appropriate reason I could not bring the prime mover back as it had to stay in Melbourne. Everything was OK when I got back to Adelaide airport yesterday morning but SA health changed their minds yesterday afternoon and I was arrested at home at approximately 1 o'clock this morning and transported to Adelaide after that.
There are two more truck drivers locked up here with me that did the same as me . When is SA health going to be responsible for their decisions including letting families of the Port Adelaide football club into South Australia without the appropriate paperwork etc and all those Kiwis that just turned up.
If you care about the well being of this great state that we live in and the wrong arrest of people that have not committed a crime please send this to you local MP
or anyone else that might care in the slightest thank you to everyone that does this and remember it could happen to someone else that you may know.
Best regards to all hope I get out soon as Niki is battling to keep up with the work on our small farm including all the pigeons I am glad that we have not started to pair all the birds up yet.

Update 17/10/20
We have had several more birds reported from Roxby Downs ,Glendambo and Crystal Brook it has been abit of a job getting them returned from there ,evidently there was a strong easterly blowing at Farina at a considerable height to push then that far to the west.
Allan Cotton the liberator reported that there was very little wind at ground level at Farina which is what the BOM had on their website.
This can be the problem with releasing on a fine sunny day, birds can go high and in to slip streams.
We have several more birds return in the last couple of days , owners have been advised.

Hi All
The Main event from Farina will go ahead as planned with an expected release around 7am Sunday the 11th October.
The birds travelled well getting there early this afternoon. Birds were fed and watered.
When checking the basketing list, click on the magnifying glass and type in your birds' number only, to see if basketed.
All birds for the Spares race are WTB 19, those who asked for Nikki's grizzles were allocated. We had to do a printout of the clock for the Spares race as the Live basketing did not work but all birds are stored in the clock. we will post results on website as they come in.

Click on magnifying glass in the Farina race, type in the "filter box", your birds' number only.

How would you like to have a bit of clean fun and at the same time have a chance of winning some money up to $5,000 and help raise some money for the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
Niki and I are holding a pigeon race with our birds so anyone can participate in this great sport of pigeon racing without having birds in your back yard. The race will be held over a distance of app 580 kms from either Farina on the Marree road or Nettalie Hill East of Broken Hill. The race will be on the 10th or 11th of October, depending on the weather conditions that weekend.

You do not actually own the bird, you have purchased the right to fly that bird/ birds in the race with a chance to win some money and have some fun whilst raising money for the KWC Foundation.

Hello again we had a few more birds return from Olary and had two reported one at Blanchetown and one at Broken Hill .
The birds that were late comers Gippys 10473 & 10474 Fred Riemarzic's 4080 Greg Hodgins 4967 & 4969 Daz & Daves 926 & 510 belonging to P& N syndicate .
The race from Olary was quite a bit harder than I expected with the wind being S S W and up to 32 kms per hour up from expected 15 to 18 kms per hour but as they say the best got home, hopefully.
Congratulations to the owners of the birds that returned especially to the first three birds.
The breeding of first place was three quarter Goodger quarter Deluse .
Second place was a mixture of Ray hunts Vanloon /Houben /Deweert & Hardy Kruger.
Third bird was Hoeben of the older imports.
The wind has been extremely strong here for the last week with it gusting at 97 kms per hour Sunday night , tossing has been virtually impossible but the wind is expected to slow considerably on this week end with the birds going for app one and half hour toss
Saturday morning, Benzing Live will be on so keep an eye out for them.
I tossed the SPARES race birds Sunday morning wind was forecast to be up to 25 kms per hour by the time I got home it was close to fifty km gusts , never lost a bird but they took one &half hours for seventy kms a good work out.
There was one mistake on the arrival list being bird number 1256 belonging to the Cotton family not Charlies rockets sorry for thatsmall problem.
The birds for the Spares race will be allocated after their fly this week- end from either Olary or Carrieton release point will be determined by the wind
Olary Prize money 1st $500 2nd $200 3rd $100

I start tossing at 13 kms for 3 or 4 times or until the leave the toss point straight away , then I move to the lake edge app 33 kms and toss the same way as the first point.
After tossing at the lake that is when we replace the birds lost with spares and will allocate the birds that have been purchased etc .
I then start tossing the birds at 54 kms app 3 times then there off to Parnka Point app 73 kms then same number of times , up to then all toss points are due south.
After Parnka Point I then switch birds to the east line a distance of app 80kms, I never toss with a tail wind so I switch to which ever direction needed.
The last 4 years we hardly ever got strong southerly's mainly strong winds from the north.
The birds are split into 2 groups and are tossed 3 times a week until they go over the 80 kms .
Our own birds are also split into 2 groups and are released with the KWC cancer birds as there would
I toss the birds 6 times a week until they finish at the Parnka Point release point.
